![]() But for Wolfgang, he doesn't quite seem as afraid of the dark as they make him out to be. Wortox was chaotic for me to play when he came out, the sanity drain from souls, natural sanity drain, and 1/2 food benefits and penalties made him a challenge. But his sanity issues should be way more extreme. I don't have a problem at all with him being the strongest character. It's the Wolfgangs that, I feel, seem to eat up a large portion of the food. I adore playing Wigfrid, but if it isn't the people that precook all the food so it's practically spoiled when you really need it. Even worse when WX leaves the server never to come back.Īnd Wolfgang just encourages people to eat all the food like they're the only ones on the server. Coming back to base and finding that the 3 gears that you all were saving for flingos is gone is incredibly frustrating. WX-78 just seems so vanilla, and is so easy to hate. I have tried every other character, but these two bore the bejesus out of me. Wigfrid actually has a downside that changes your playstyle and team supportive craftables to boot.Įxactly why I don't play these two characters. ![]() Wolfgang is just overpowered and boring, which is why I think we see more Wigfrids than Wolfgangs. Gameplay wise, if you aren't ruins rushing, you just kind of exist. You either have to eat gears without telling anyone, or ask if they're being used for anything. Having to eat a rare/low drop rate resource like gears isn't fun for anyone. Originally posted by Axelocke:WX-78 could use a full on rework, if I'm honest. If they had more casual appeal, we could actually Wolf and WX being played. (TLDR They all could use real downsides that make them fun to play with changes that make sense with their character. Insanity in Don't Starve is a joke, leaving Wolfgang with the pure upside of thrashing anything labelled living. Wolfgang only has the dull downside of sanity drain, which depending on your point of view, could be a good thing for nightmare fuel farming. Wigfrid actually has a downside that changes your playstyle and team supportive craftables to boot. WX-78 could use a full on rework, if I'm honest. (From my experience.) WX's ability to eat spoiled foods is nice, not that I remember the last time I did so, but it's there. The only time WX is played on public servers is for ruins rushing. The "hurt by rain" mechanic is a minor inconvenience at best and hardly counts as a downside. They don't have anything really interesting about them, WX is essentially a Wilson with stat upgrades (that you get from eating a rare resource) and a speed boost you can only get with rainstorms or Wickerbottom. WX and Wolfgang are super rare characters, and I'm starting to see why. I'd just like something that made those 3 fun to play as, the only one of those three that are ever used is Wickerbottom for early game and breaking the game. The upgrades are Reinforced Plating(2% armor), High Grade Circuitry(increases HP/Hunger/Sanity cap by 10), Enhanced Servos(2% movement), Hydrophobic Coating(5% wetness protection).Make WX gain less wetness protection from clothing. WX can apply 15 upgrades in any configuration. WX-78: Overhaul upgrades to a crafting tab with 4 upgrades to choose from. The End is nigh will also cause 8 nearby items/structures to start smoldering. On Tentacles summons tentacles(that are neutral to survivors) for 1.5 days. Wickerbottom: Applied Horticulture now makes crops half spoilage when grown. Mighty:High (1.25x-2x)damage for high sanity, low (1x-0.25x)damage for low(<100) sanity. ![]() Wimp:High (1.25x-1.5x)damage for low (<100)sanity, low (1x-0.5x)damage for high sanity. Wolfgang: Change his damage modifier to rely on sanity(with different effects for each form), and make his mighty/wimpy forms require 1 full day of meeting requirements to take effect. The following is how I would balance/rework their current abilities. ![]()
